Scott Sewell Named “Forty Under 40” Award Honoree by Business First of Louisville

LOUISVILLE, KY (September 19, 2017) – Charah®, LLC, the largest privately-held ash management company serving the coal-fired power generation industry, today announced that Scott Sewell, Chief Operating Officer, has been named one of Business First of Louisville’s “Forty Under 40” award honorees for 2017 and was recognized at a dinner on Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Marriott East.

According to Business First, every generation produces leaders. The Forty Under 40 awards recognize dynamic, young professionals in the Greater Louisville area under the age of 40 who are on the leading edge of their occupations. The annual awards serve to identify and foster the development of tomorrow’s leaders.

Mr. Sewell joined Charah in 2008 with extensive experience in project management with one of the largest international engineering and construction companies. As COO, he is responsible for maintaining oversight of Charah operations, safety management, business development and utility relations. A graduate of the College of Charleston in South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in international business, he is a Six Sigma Yellow Belt and holds professional affiliations as a member of the Project Management Institute, the Association of Equipment Management Professionals and the International Erosion Control Association.
