Charah Executive Named President of American Coal Council Board of Directors

LOUISVILLE, KY (February 5, 2014) – Charah®, Inc., a total solutions company providing unparalleled service and innovation for the coal-fired electric utility industry, announced today that its Executive Vice President, Danny L. Gray, has been named president of the board of directors of the American Coal Council (ACC), effective January 1, 2014.

The ACC, headquartered in Washington, D.C., represents the collective interests of the American coal industry in advocating for coal as an economic, abundant and environmentally sound fuel source. The Association provides relevant educational programs, market intelligence, advocacy support and peer-to-peer networking forums to advance members’ commercial and professional development interests.

Mr. Gray joined Charah in 2008 and has over 30 years experience in the electric utility and coal ash management industries. Prior to joining Charah, Mr. Gray served as Vice President of Mineral Resource Technologies, Inc. (MRT), a CEMEX subsidiary, and in various senior management positions at ISG Resources and JTM Industries, Inc. He began his professional career with American Electric Power.
