Charah Names Scott Sewell as Chief Operating Officer

LOUISVILLE, KY (January 9, 2013) – Charah®, Inc., a leading provider of coal combustion product management and power plant support services for the coal-fired electric utility industry, announced today it has promoted Scott Sewell to Chief Operating Officer. As COO, Mr. Sewell will have direct responsibility for Charah operations, business development and utility relations.

Mr. Sewell joined Charah in 2008, later serving as Operations Manager, Vice President of Operations and most recently Senior Vice President of Operations. Prior to joining Charah, he was Project Manager for Bechtel Corporation from 2002 until 2007.

Mr. Sewell holds Bachelor of Science in International Business from the College of Charleston in South Carolina. He is a Six Sigma Yellow Belt and holds professional affiliations as a member of the Project Management Institute, the Association of Equipment Management Professionals, and the International Erosion Control Association.
