Extends MultiSource™ Fly Ash Supply Network to Erie Region
LOUISVILLE, KY (November 16, 2017) – Charah®, LLC, the nation’s largest privately-held ash management company, today announced that it recently secured an exclusive agreement to market the coal combustion products (CCPs) produced by the Scrubgrass Generating Plant in Kennerdell, Pennsylvania.
As part of this agreement, Charah will sell and market the high quality, specification grade Class F fly ash from this location for beneficial use. The Scrubgrass Generating Plant is owned by Q Power.
Through several Q Power patented technologies and processes, Scrubgrass will generate high quality Class F fly ash for use in the concrete marketplace. Charah’s innovative marketing and distribution strategies tie well with the innovative processes employed by Q Power.
Available to ship by truck, rail and barge, Charah will market the fly ash to ready-mix and concrete product producers throughout the Eastern US, with a focus on Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York states. Through Charah’s MultiSource™ network of terminals, the Scrubgrass material will have the ability to be carried throughout the US, delivering quality fly ash to markets that are in short supply.
