Peter DeQuattro Joins Charah as Executive Vice President for Agricultural Products

DeQuattroLOUISVILLE, KY (March 12, 2015) – Charah®, Inc., a total solutions company providing unparalleled service and innovation for the coal-fired electric utility industry, announced today that Peter DeQuattro has joined the team as Executive Vice President, Agricultural Products, effective March 2, 2015. In this new position, he will serve as the general manager for Charah agricultural products and be responsible for production and sales for SUL4R-PLUS® product and other Charah agricultural products.

Mr. DeQuattro has more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry including engineering, construction, operations, maintenance, project development, mining, asset management and senior leadership. Previously, he was President and CEO of Prairie State Generating Company (PSGC) where he was responsible for the overall direction and leadership of the Prairie State Energy Campus from early construction through commercial operations. Prior to PSGC, he served as President of Alcoa Fuels, Inc., Vice President for Alcoa Power Generating Company and Plant Manager of Alcoa’s Warrick Power Plant. Prior to Alcoa, he was General Manager for Reliant Energy and Plant Manager for Orion Power LLC, and previously worked for LG&E Energy Corporation at the Mill Creek Generating Station, where Charah’s SUL4R-PLUS product facility is located.

Mr. DeQuattro earned his bachelor’s of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MBA from Indiana University. He is a past member of the board of directors of the American Coalition for Clean Coal Energy (ACCCE).
